The HDJ-500 DJ headphones adapt the styling and performance cues of Pioneer's top-of-the-line HDJ-2000 headphones. Designed with maximum comfort and reliability in mind, the HDJ-500 headphones use comfortable urethane pads for the ears that allow the headphones to mold around the user's head and ears for a snug and slip-resistant fit. Furthermore, the urethane pads are wrapped in great quality leather, providing greater feel and extended comfort. The main structure of the headphones is crafted of magnesium alloy for light weight and durability, making them great for travel and long periods of use.

The newly developed 40 mm driver unit includes a strong rare earth magnet. The reduced inner diameter of the earpads increases the sound pressure to provide a rich low range. The voice coil now uses a thicker diaphragm of 19 μm and copper-clad aluminum wiring (CCAW) to clearly reproduce the midrange,including the kick and snare sounds vital for DJ mixing. With these headphones, even inexperienced DJs can easily grasp a song’s tempo.

 

 

 

These headphones work with single-ear and other monitoring styles thanks to the 60｡swivel mechanism on the right housing and a headband that is flexible yetstill maintains lateral pressure.

 

 

 

 

The single-sided replaceable cords give you freedom of movement. The included 1.2m coiled cord (maximum extension: approximately 3 m) (Image 1) and 1 m straight cord (Image 2) give you options for various listening situations, whether in performance or just on the street.
